for cold bulk massive forming – HAKUFORM
Near-net-shape single or multi-stage cold massive forming for the manufacture of complex shaped, mostly rotationally symmetrical components from all-around coated wire or rod sections is becoming increasingly popular. The high surface pressures and temperatures that occur during forming place extreme demands on the forming lubricants.
The precursor material wire, rod, or tube is cut to length by means of sawing or shearing using HAKUFORM products. After coating, the sections are cold-extruded with a carrier and separating layer (e.g., DECORRDAL zinc phosphate for steel, similar systems are available for stainless steel and aluminum) and a suitable HAKUFORM lubricant. HAKUFORM cold extrusion oils can be used as additional lubrication and for cooling. In some applications, the conversion layer can be omitted when special HAKUFORM high-performance lubricants are used.
For bulk sheet metal forming, especially when working with thick circular blanks, the aforementioned systems and products are also used.
