Just in time availability of different metal sheets is becoming increasingly important as a starting material for highly efficient forming processes as the range of applications is increasing (substrates, forming types) and the demands on tribology are getting more complex and extreme. KLUTHE offers a large number of HAKUFORM and HAKUFLUID forming lubricants for the many different applications.

Many of these lubricants e.g. for deep drawing and fine blanking also have very good corrosion protection properties, enabling forming and providing protection with a single application.

The HAKUFORM range of products represents water-miscible and non-water-miscible forming lubricants, with both (mineral) oil-based, Semi- and fully synthetic products available. The HAKUFLUID group of products represents fully synthetic and fully soluble cooling lubricants that are also used in machining.

The HAKUFORM product range is as extensive as the many different applications and requirements in sheet metal forming. Here are some examples:

• HAKUFORM metalworking oils for a wide range of punching, cutting, bending, drawing, and rolling operations.
• HAKUFORM 10 series: volatile forming lubricants; depending on the product, barely perceptible corrosion protection is provided after the forming process.
• HAKUFORM and HAKUFLUID products for deep drawing of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials. Example: HAKUFLUID 183 (7-15% clearly dissolved in water) for deep drawing of stainless steel sinks.
• HAKUFORM products for roll-forming of hot- or cold-rolled strip for the production of welded tubes.
• HAKUFORM prelube oils for corrosion protection and forming of strip material (hot-dip or electro galvanized steel, aluminum and aluminum alloys, stainless steel) in bending, roll forming, deep drawing, punching and forming processes.
• Matched SUPRABOND and NOVICOAT coating process for the production of pretreated and/or prepainted strip material, e.g., for appliances (production of computer enclosures, electronic entertainment devices, dishwashers and washing machines, as well as refrigerators through bending, deep-drawing and punching).
• HAKUFORM products for the production of tinplate or aluminum beverage. Example: HAKUFORM 300 for tinplate beverage cans – fully synthetic coolant for the highest requirements, which can easily be washed off with hot water after forming.
• For BULK SHEET METAL FORMING (using thick circular blanks, e.g., for the cold forming of seamless high-pressure gas cylinders), the same tribological systems are used as with cold bulk forming
