MANGANESE PHOSPHATING – DECORRDAL

Manganese phosphating products with the DECORRDAL 70-series are very well suitable both for wear and corrosion protection. The coatings are micro-crystalline, very levelled and mechanically more durable than zinc phosphate coatings.

For gearing parts and moving machine components, the running-in properties are considerably improved and wear is minimized. In combination with CUSTOS and HAKUDREN rust preventives very dark, nearly black high-grade coatings are obtained which can replace black oxide finishing coatings occasionally.

An activating agent is needed for the phosphate layer to form optimally. By varying the pickling parameters (if acidic pickling is applied) and the concentration of the activating agent, morphology of the coating and coating thickness can be adjusted reproducibly in a considerable broad range. Pickling pits are avoided.
